Canadian Solar was founded in Ontario, Canada in 2001 where it began manufacturing. In 2005 Canadian Solar opened its second manufacturing plant in China and was successfully listed on NASDAQ Exchange in 2006. Today they operate across three continents, delivering vertically integrated solar modules to customes in over 50 countries.
With a 2.1GW capacity in 2011 and strong growing markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Canadian Solar is now the world's 4th largest module manufacturer.
Canadian Solar is on top of the PVUSA Rankings, which is an independant 'real world' test, beating 3000 other modules from around the globe.
